Courtesy of Mr.Empson himself through the Hurst family - this book is very upfront and direct.  It doesn't draw you in very quickly; but, it is a very strong and captivating story when Mr.Empson gets to the conditions of imprisonment and loss of life (both young and old).  Parents should use discretion before allowing children to read this.
